Joshua 1:1-9 Moses is dead and God is sending Joshua and the rest of Israel across the river. We think of Moses as pretty good but he was deeply flawed. On this Independence Day weekend, we celebrate our country and embrace the call of the framers to make the union "more perfect" (something Wesley would love!). To recognize that nothing, even great things are not all good or bad takes courage. Let us adopt the words God spoke to Joshua in Joshua 1:9 - "Be strong and courageous"
