Every Sunday, children ages 3 (potty trained) through the 5th grade meet children’s area in the lower level below the Fellowship Hall at 9:00 am for an engaging experience of worship, Bible stories, crafts and games. Our nursery is available from 8:45 am through 11:30 for infants through age three.
The Children’s Ministry Council hosts several social gatherings throughout the year which foster the connection among the children and other members of the church such as our Fall Festival, Birthday Party for Jesus, Easter Egg Hunt and Vacation Bible School. Kid’s Club 45 is an opportunity for our 4th and 5th graders to have a time to connect and serve together.
The children experience a worship time before their Sunday school class at 9:00am. They have the opportunity to light candles, learn new songs, and give an offering. Once a month they sing in the 9:00 traditional worship service.
Normandy Kids have many opportunities to share God’s love through Operation Christmas Child and mission projects during VBS. They are also able to serve in worship services as an acolyte and a member of the children’s choirs.
Safe Sanctuary Policy
Normandy follows a Safe Sanctuary Policy for the safety of our children and youth. Among other things, the policy requires background checks on all staff members and volunteers working with children or youth. The policy also requires staff and volunteers to be properly trained before working with Children or youth.
